Remembering Coach Matt Newman

Please join the UFA Family in praying for and grieving with the Newman Family. Matt passed December 22nd after a 2 1/2 year battle with ALS.

Matt was the first Director of UFA Dawson and instrumental in laying the foundation for our success. He coached for many years with ASA and then UFA in Forsyth and Dawson. His entire family was involved in every aspect of soccer: Coaching, Assigning, Officiating, and Playing.

We will remember Coach Matt for his infectious enthusiasm on the field, exhuberant personality, diligence, intelligence, eloquence, utmost concern for his players and even his love for x-tra large Dunkin Donut coffees with 6 creams and 6 sugars. Coach Matt will remain in our hearts and memories. He was a very special man and will be missed.
