Coach Mo Gonda is Retiring!!
United Futbol Academy is both happy and sad to announce the retirement of our beloved Director of Elite Programs and ECNL Girls Director, Mo Gonda.
As a member of the UFA family since 2015, Mo played an integral role in leading the girls program into U.S. Soccer's Development Academy in 2016 and ECNL in 2020. She was chosen as one of 16 Girls Development Academy Directors to complete the U.S. Soccer Academy Director Course and she completed the 18-month course in 2018. In her over 25 years of coaching in Georgia, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, she has left a lasting impact on the soccer community, female athletes, and female coaches. She retires as a mentor in the U.S Soccer SheChampions Mentorship program for female coaches. The UFA Girls ECNL Program has risen to be a top ECNL program in the country and finished the 2021-2022 season ranked #22 in the country based on overall standings for ECNL and ECNL Regional League teams.
She will always be remembered as a dedicated and committed member of the UFA team. The entire club benefitted from her leadership and her contributions were an integral to UFA’s growth and success. On behalf of everyone at UFA, we want to thank you, Mo, for your incredible contributions to our team. We will certainly miss you, and we hope you enjoy your future adventures with your family during your retirement.
“The greatest thing about soccer is the people you meet. Her passion and respect for the game of soccer is something that made everyone around her better or striving to be a better ambassador of the game of soccer.” - Iggy Moleka, Executive Director of Soccer at United Futbol Academy
